How the speed test of flap disc is done? When choosing the best suitable fiberglass backing plate for your flap discs, or when choosing the best quality flap discs, the most simple way and the most popular way is “speed test” or someone call “burst test” or “rotary test”.

The minimum rotational speeds that a flap disc must be able to withstand represent one of the most important elements in the safety requirements for coated abrasive products EN 13743, which is mandatory for OSA members.

Jingle Abrasives has its own quality department to do quality test for our mass production. We supply Aluminium Oxide Flap Discs, Zirconia Flap Discs, Ceramic Flap Discs. All the flap size and quantity, and the sandpaper material will be produced according to your detailed requirements.

Our quality test is done on a centrifugal test machine to ensure that the flap discs can withstand the sort of speeds that are required for grinding work.

The flap disc is mounted in a clamping device on a suitable test rig and is then loaded with an increasing number of revolutions up to the minimum bursting speed given. The flap disc passes the bursting test if it reaches the minimum bursting speed without breaking.

Below is the safety standard accepted all over the world. (Some German clients might require 1.88 times) . Jingle will produce the flap discs strictly according to your requirements.
